In this series of drawings, I have explored the reciprocal relationship that exists between the physical environment and our brain. Objects and materials that reflect our sense of place were examined using projection and enlargement to cast shadows on the fabric of the building. Mark making was used to capture these shadows and thus reinterpret the thoughts and connections that make up our temporary cognitive maps. These drawings were created as part of the development of the large installation Where Am I?
